Special Features

Quoits
The traditional format of quoits challenges players to toss a ring over a pin or spike. As quoits has evolved over the years, it has taken many different formats. Rings have been made of rope, metal or rubber, and the spikes have been placed in the ground, clay, or wooden boards. In Bryant Park, we play slate-board quoits with rubber rings. Each player is given two quoits, which they attempt to get closest to their pin, or better yet, to throw a ringer, encircling the quoit around the pin. Similar to horseshoes, you'll find this game easy to learn and perfect for quick game after lunch.

Kubb
Hailing from Scandinavia, you can now learn Kubb on the lawn at Bryant Park. Similar to lawn bowling, the object of Kubb is to knock over your opponent's blocks with wooden pins. Think it sounds easy? Come out to the lawn, where our games attendant will teach to play, and even challenge you to a game.

Chinese Chess
Learn the strategy involved in Xiang Qi or challenge masters from the United East Athletics Association at our special weekly clinic.
