Host a Party at Chess & Backgammon

Chess is great fun for a birthday party. You bring the cake and we’ll provide group lessons, chess problems, or a mini-tournament.

If you'd like refreshments, we're happy to connect you to our excellent onsite food kiosks. Afterward, celebrate with drinks and no-wait entry at Manhattan's hottest after-work scenes, Bryant Park Cafe and Southwest Porch.

Join Tri-State Chess for a USCF-rated chess tournament for children and adults. Visit Tri-State Chess for advanced registration information and list of fees. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category.

Advanced registration is recommended, though on-site registration will run from 9-9:30 the day of the event. There will be seven sections and four rounds of play.

Those who wish to participate and are unable to pay the fee can enter to win one of five free entries. To participate, winners must also have a current, valid USCF membership. Those who do not have a valid membership can purchase one the day of the event ($17).

Inquire with Chess Host for application to win a free tournament entry. One entry per person is permitted.
