Energize your day with a workout before work

Barre3 is the modern evolution of the barre workout and combines yoga, Pilates, and ballet. Every workout includes an isometric hold, controlled one-inch movements, and functional large range of motion. This three-step sequence is designed to burn fat, build strength, and improve posture. Taught by the experts from barre3.

No equipment or registration is necessary; bringing a water bottle is encouraged.

Rain call will be made the night before by 10pm.

 

Free Classes in the Park

Discover the birds that call Bryant Park home, as well as those that may stop by during migration. A surprising diversity of avian visitors drop in, even in the heart of midtown. Sightings could include warblers, tanagers, vireos, thrushes, even an American Woodcock!

Bryant Park speaks Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese with instruction by inlingua. Learn a new language in these standalone beginner classes. Classes are not cumulative, so you may attend any class throughout the season without needing to play catch up.

Registration is required, and opens one week before each class date. Please email inlinguainBryantPark@inlingua.com to reserve a spot. 20 student capacity per class. Attendance limited to one class for each language offered.

An eclectic musician of Armenian origin, Armen Donelian has appeared internationally as a pianist, composer and bandleader since 1975. He has worked with many of the “greats” including Sonny Rollins, Mongo Santamaria, Chet Baker, Paquito D’Rivera, Jackie Paris, Billy Harper, and Night Ark. His piano playing reveals a masterful command rooted in classical and jazz studies, clean articulation, a deft swinging touch, access to a broad dynamic spectrum, a virtuosic harmonic vocabulary, and a boundless source of creative ideas.

Bryant Park Tai Chi is provided by the Tai Chi Chuan Center and led by teachers and students who train at CK Chu Tai Chi under the direction of Jeremy Hubbell.

Classes are rain or shine.

 

Perfect your downward dog under the trees at our 12th season of outdoor yoga classes, presented by Athleta with instructors curated by Yoga Journal and media support from Flavorpill. Mats are provided by Athleta - no need to bring your own!

Stefanie Eris, exhale's national yoga director, first discovered yoga while she was studying theater as a way to find neutral in the body and mind. Stefanie’s vinyasa flow classes are heavily focused on breath, sweat, alignment, rhythm, and repetition. At her core, she is on a mission to help others to turn inward, learn to love whatever they find inside, then extend that love back out into the world, and be of service to others. Each one. Teach one.

Navy Band Northeast "Pops Ensemble" will perform. Comprised of 35 talented professional Navy musicians from across the country, the band performs a wide variety of musical styles, specializing in traditional concert band literature, popular standards, jazz and patriotic favorites.

Fifth Avenue Terrace

In consideration of the New York Rangers viewing on May 20, Boot Camp will be held on the Library Terrace. It will return to the Fountain Terrace on May 27.

Join The Rise NYC, a community-driven pop-up fitness group, for a Boot Camp on the Fountain Terrace. Rotations through exercises like crunches, planks, push-ups, burpees, and mountain climbers ensure a mixture of cardio and strength training that will keep you coming back--and seeing results.

No equipment necessary; smiles and high-fives encouraged. Rain or shine.

What is your cancellation policy?
Tours will continue as scheduled in light rain, but will be cancelled in heavy rain or inclement weather.

How large are tour groups?
Tours are capped at 20 participants. Please contact tours@urbanmgt.com if you plan to attend with a group larger than six people.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

For Adults (16 years+)

Teaching Artist provides expert instruction in drawing, taking inspiration from the architecture, monuments, and people in Bryant Park. Learn basic drawing techniques including line, composition, shading, and depth.

Pencils, eraser, paper, and drawing board provided. Sessions are non-cumulative.

Lessons are capped at 15 participants, and registration is required.

First time participants:

On Wednesdays, we play the popular strategy game Settlers of Catan.

 

A social dance party after work — featuring popular dance instructors plus an incredible band each week — hosted and produced by Talia Castro-Pozo. From novices to experts, all are welcome.

 

Join us for the park's inaugural season of monthly mixed doubles ping pong tournaments, and prove that table tennis truly appeals to all.

Pairs must be one female + one male. Pre-registration is required. Please sign up with both names in the registration name field (example: Patti Smith and John Doe). Register here.

Are you a solo female, who needs a partner to play? Please email us at bpc@urbanmgt.com, and we will be happy to find a match.

On-site registration will open at 6pm if space allows. Please check-in with host when you arrive for the tournament. We will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Registration will close, and spots will be turned over to wait-listed registrants, beginning at 6:20pm.

Have what it takes to be in the military? Kick off Marine Day in Bryant Park with a US Marine Corps led bootcamp class. Come prepared to take part in a strenuous, but fun morning workout!

 

The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) will host Marine Day in Bryant Park featuring a boot camp style exercise session, followed by USMC displays, demonstrations and a performance by the USMC Band.

Schedule of Events
6:30am - 1-hr boot camp on the Fountain Terrace
7:30am - USCG Drill team performs on the Upper Terrace
9:00am - Vehicles and weapons display on the gravel surrounding the lawn and on the Upper Terrace. Come by for demonstrations!
12:30pm - 30 minute performance by the USMC Band on the Upper Terrace
1:00pm - Martial Arts Demonstration on the lawn by the Upper Terrace & small band performances throughout the park
2:30pm - 30 minute performance by the USMC Band on the Upper Terrace

Weapons and vehicles are on display from 9am - 5pm.
