It's a Midtown hoedown like no other!

Bryant Park Square Dance is blowing back into town for an exciting all-weekend event, September 19 - 21!

Little cowboys and cowgirls won't want to miss our Sunday event!

Dancing: Follow our featured caller, Dave Harvey of NYC Barn Dance, for dances that are do-si-doable by the whole family. No experience? No partner? No problem! We'll help pair y'all up and teach ya the steps. Live music by The Backyard Boys.

Play: Ham it up in the #bpsquaredance photo booth, and try your luck at classic lawn games - cornhole and sack races.

Win: We've got western-themed giveaways by the wagonload, but don't forget to enter the raffle - you could win a Bryant Park swag bag, or the grand prize: free Southwest Airlines tickets!

Snacks and Suds: Come hungry for finger licking fixings from the Hester Street Fair, and enjoy an afternoon adult beverage by 'wichcraft while the kids play. Available for purchase.


Admission is FREE! No registration or tickets required. The only element that requires a wallet is the food and beverages. Country festive attire is encouraged. Be there and be square!

Though kids games are available whenever we are open, the Kids Time Game Social lets the little ones enjoy games geared especially towards them. Teach them Candyland, Old Maid, Memory, or Operation every weekend.

Energize your day with a workout before work.

Join park neighbor Pilates on Fifth for an al fresco mat Pilates class. Studio owners Katherine and Kimberly Corp help you target the deep muscles of the abdomen to and spine to build a strong body from the inside out. The hour long class is paced for an energetic workout and open to all skill and age levels.

Some mats will be provided, but class participants are encouraged to bring their own.

Rain cancellation decisions will be made by 5pm on Sunday evening; please check our website and Twitter.

The Early Bird Game Social gives you a chance to start the day in the park, and warm up your mind with games that get you thinking like dominoes, Scrabble, cards or Boggle.

 

Test your coordination and dexterity with free juggling lessons in the park. All skill levels are welcome to join in the fun. Equipment is provided.

If juggling lessons are scheduled to take place on the lawn and the lawn happens to be closed, the jugglers will relocate to the 42nd Street Plaza.

 

Here's your chance to meet and network with your neighbors at Rendezvous Bryant Park, a Speed Meet to build awareness of our organization and facilitate a networking opportunity for Young Professionals in our neighborhood.

- Be between the ages of 21-35

Tai Chi and Eternal Spring are instructed by members of the Tai Chi Chuan Center for all ages and experience levels.

Classes are rain or shine.

 

Test your coordination and dexterity with free juggling lessons in the park. All skill levels are welcome to join in the fun. Equipment is provided.

If juggling lessons are scheduled to take place on the lawn and the lawn happens to be closed, the jugglers will relocate to the 42nd Street Plaza.

The Board Game Social features games in their classic form with a board, special pieces and a little bit of competition. Try classics like Sorry, Clue, Monopoly, or Life.

Kubb takes over the lawn for Bryant Park's first ever Kubb tournament.

Team size is between two and six people (but remember, smaller teams typically perform better!). Pre-registration is required. Please sign up with all teammates' names in the registration name field (example: Patti Smith and John Doe). One email will suffice for each team.

On-site registration will open at 5:30pm if space allows. Please check in with attendant when you arrive for the tournament. We will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Registration will close, and spots will be turned over to wait-listed registrants, beginning at 5:50pm.

The winning team will win a Kubb set and individual trophies.

The rain date for this event is the following day, Wednesday, September 24.

The Scrabble Game Social brings together the park's wordsmiths in pursuit of Scrabble bingos, and high scoring tiles. If you go wild for words, this one's for you!
