Energize your day with a workout before work

Barre3 is the modern evolution of the barre workout and combines yoga, Pilates, and ballet. Every workout includes an isometric hold, controlled one-inch movements, and functional large range of motion. This three-step sequence is designed to burn fat, build strength, and improve posture. Taught by the experts from barre3.

No equipment or registration is necessary; bringing a water bottle is encouraged.

Rain call will be made the night before by 10pm.

Bryant Park speaks Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese with instruction by inlingua. Learn a new language in these standalone beginner classes. Classes are not cumulative, so you may attend any class throughout the season without needing to play catch up.

Registration is required, and opens one week before each class date. Please email inlinguainBryantPark@inlingua.com to reserve a spot. 20 student capacity per class. Attendance limited to one class for each language offered.

Almost a native New Yorker, Dona Carter hailed from Connecticut where she attended The Hartford Conservatory of music as a child, later moving to New York where she earned degrees in music at Columbia University and Lehman College. As a pianist, composer, and music educator, Dona directs large and small bands and groups, composes and arranges original pieces, and performs in a variety of venues – both in the U.S. and abroad - often sharing the stage with other outstanding musicians and singers. She also works with and mentors performing arts students of all ages. WHCR plays her music on Sunday Jazz Break, where she was a recent guest. Bryant Park Tai Chi is provided by the Tai Chi Chuan Center and led by teachers and students who train at CK Chu Tai Chi under the direction of Jeremy Hubbell.

Classes are rain or shine.

 

Perfect your downward dog under the trees at our 12th season of outdoor yoga classes, presented by Athleta with instructors curated by Yoga Journal and media support from Flavorpill. Mats are provided by Athleta - no need to bring your own!

A teacher at YogaWorks, Yogavida and Kula Yoga Project in New York City, Sangeeta Vallabhan travels the NYC boroughs on what she calls a Solemarch, a quest to help students be the sole proprietors of their own yogic paths. Steeped in formal dance education and more than 1,000 hours of yoga training, her teaching is inspired by the ancient yogic texts and blends movement with intention.

Specialty art classes with instruction by Artist & Craftsman Supply. All skill levels are welcome, and necessary materials are provided.

Fun with Nature Print Paper is a class recommended for kids under 12. Children must be accompanied by a guardian. Registration is required.

Join us for an enjoyable walking tour of Bryant Park, and discover how Bryant Park Corporation successfully transformed "Needle Park" of the 1970s into Manhattan's Town Square of today. Our guides are loaded with expertise on the park's rich history, award-winning design, distinct amenities, and ongoing maintenance efforts.

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?
Tours will continue as scheduled in light rain, but will be cancelled in heavy rain or inclement weather.

How large are tour groups?
Tours are capped at 20 participants. Please contact tours@urbanmgt.com if you plan to attend with a group larger than six people.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No need!

For Kids (8-12 years, guardian must be present)

Teaching Artist provides expert instruction in drawing, taking inspiration from the architecture, monuments, and people in Bryant Park. Learn basic drawing techniques including line, composition, shading, and depth.

Pencils, eraser, paper, and drawing board provided. Sessions are non-cumulative.

Lessons are capped at 15 participants, and registration is required.
