Free Classes in the Park

Discover the birds that call Bryant Park home, as well as those that may stop by during migration. A surprising diversity of avian visitors drop in, even in the heart of midtown. Sightings could include warblers, tanagers, vireos, thrushes, even an American Woodcock!

Presented in partnership with New York City Audubon.

Direct from Scotland, the prestigious St. Columba's School Pipe Band has played for HRH the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, HRH the Princess Royal, Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. They've also led the Scottish rugby team onto the pitch at Murrayfield and welcomed the arrival of the QE2 into the Port of Greenock!

Come out and hear the band play classic pipe tunes, such as Flower of Scotland and Scotland the Brave, before giving thanks to their hosts with an American Medley Tribute! The performance is featured as part of Scotland-Tartan Week, which showcases and celebrates the culture and heritage of Scots and American-Scots in NYC.

For more information and a full list of Tartan Week events, please visit the American-Scottish Foundation's website.
