The first flower kiosk was placed in Bryant Park over 25 years ago. After the park's renovation, inspired by the example of other parks and gardens in the area, Bryant Park Corporation decided to revive the tradition. The word went out among florists all over New York, and after an exhaustive search, Magnolia Flowers & Events was determined to be the perfect partner for this venture. Magnolia and BPC designed and built a simple, elegant structure, and Magnolia moved in and opened the doors on July 21, 2005.
Magnolia Flowers & Events, LLC was created in 2000 by three friends passionate about flowers and design. They receive daily flower shipments from Holland, South America, California, and New Zealand. Their work has been noted in major publications such as "O" The Oprah Magazine, House Beautiful, Brides, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, Gotham, Town and Country, Martha Stewart Living, Martha Stewart Weddings, YM, W, and Elle Decor.
Magnolia counts among its clients some of the toughest judges of taste and quality, including Donna Karan, Kate Spade, Gourmet Magazine, Allure, Coach, Martha Stewart, Calvin Klein, 20th Century Fox, Miramax, and Paramount Pictures. Magnolia is also the official florist of the U.S. Tennis Association and U.S. Open. They have provided flowers for such major events as the MTV Music Awards and the Vogue/VH1 Fashion Awards.
